The University of Birmingham Fund supports a whole range of projects across the University. Below is a full list of those funded in 2008.

| Campus Environment and Facilities | The Shakespeare Institute | Refurbishment of the interior of the Gazebo to provide additional computer and study space for students at the Institute |

| Teaching/Learning and IT | School of Arts and Law | The Festival of Music showcases a range of music styles performed by all students who play instruments. This is a cultural event for students from a range of backgrounds and also helps to fundraise for a local cause which helps students to link with the local community |
| Teaching/Learning and IT | School of Historical Studies (Department of American and Canadian Studies) | Permanent exhibition of Eduardo Paolozzi's Bunk, which was a bequest to the University. This will form part of a learning resource for students in the department as Paolozzi was an important member of the transatlantic pop art movement |
| Campus Environment and Facilities | School of Biosciences | Purchase of display cabinets for the Undercroft area. These will show natural specimens and materials to students and visitors, including herbarium specimens, biological material and geological specimens currently held in the Lapworth Museum |
| Teaching/Learning and IT | School of Humanities (Department of Drama and Theatre Arts) | A celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Master's degree in Playwriting, which will involve playwrights working with current students to write and perform new pieces in Autumn 2009-10 |
